First edition of Meredith’s first book of poems, published as part of the Yale Series of Younger Poets series edited by Archibald MacLeish. Meredith was a poet and Navy lieutenant (many of the poems in this collection are war poems); he went on to win the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1988.
